Luke, the beloved physician, carefully recorded those things most surely believed about Jesus Christ. He documented the perfect humanity of the Lord, emphasizing His ancestry, birth, and early life before moving chronologically through His earthly ministry. Luke also has more to say about prayer and discipleship than any of the other gospel writers. Jesus is rightly portrayed as One who came "to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10.
